                                                           Sanctify Your Soul

Our favorite dance is Sanctify You Soul
Choreographed by Walt & Linda Woolbright
32 count, 2 wall intermediate partner dance
Music is Diavolo In Me by Zucchero With Solomon Burke
                                                CD is Zucchero & Co
This is a fun dance with fun music.  Makes you want to put your hands in the air and sing along!  It is fast moving, but not difficult to learn and watchers seem to enjoy it as well.  You can have extra fun with it by clapping hands with the guy next to you when you rock out to the side (not your partner).  We've even seen some groups who hold hands with the guy next to you just before starting over.

It's The Season

Choreographer   Linda Sansoucy

Music : Let your love flow by The Bellamy Brothers 108bpm

32 counts beginner / intermediate partner dance

This is a super little dance and very well choreographed to a track of music that most of us will already have in our collections , it's an easy dance but interesting enough as to keep all levels of dancers happy.

Lost In The Shuffle

Choreographed by Ann Williams

Music : Lost in the shuffle by Monty Holmes  (C D All I ever wanted)

56 counts

Every so often you learn a dance that becomes one of your favourites, and this dance does it for me, Pim taught us it at The South will Rise Again Festival and I'm surprised that it has not been taught more, it's a fun dance that fits the music perfectly, and it's a really nice track of music, if you haven't learnt this one give it a try.

Rip It Off

Choreographers  Chris & Andy Malpass

Music :Rip off the knob by The Bellamy Brothers  128 bpm

64 count intermediate partner dance

This is a fun dance, even though classed as intermediate not very hard and has a feel good factor, it will go to a lot of tracks of music, ideal when dancing to a live group

                                                                                           Dark Island Waltz,

                                                                                         A View From The Floor.

We attended the Dave Sheriff Dance party at Great Hale, Lincoln, on the weekend of 13th to the 15th of July,

which I’m afraid to say was the last one ever. The event covers both partner and line dances,

the line being taught by Gaye Teather and Alan Heighway, and the partners which we were both there for was covered by Nigel & Linda.

The partner dances that were taught were Mucho Twirl, a very straight forward 32 count beginner dance,

Don’t Fence me in, which it like a barn dance, but a bit more to it, Ain’t love a wonderful thing (Waltz),

but the dance for us and most of the couples dancers was The Dark Island Waltz.

Before being taught this waltz we had a demo given us all and as so as the music came on you knew

that you just wanted to get up and learn this dance.

It’s a 48 count waltz and when you first look at it you notice that there is a look of work been put into it.

It starts with a ½ pinwheel going into a ¼ and ¾ turn and then a nice touch which made the dance was a bow to your partner, how lovely.

With just a few basic’s and turn after that we came to the part that had most in tears of laughter, Windows.

With dancers of all levels taking part in this teach Nigel & Linda took time out to show and explain how to get into windows,

which if you have never done this, is not and easy move, but I must say by the end they had everyone doing this move, which was nice to see.

By taking their time teaching this waltz everyone had got the dance, and when the music came on the dance just didn’t flow, it came alive,

I myself have never danced a dance like it, within the 48 counts they had got so much in the dance, but had not over done the steps.

We all dance this waltz 3 time on the Saturday Teach and again on the Saturday Evening when Dave played the tune.

On Sunday we had a recap of the dance, and again they took their time as they did with all the dances taught.

Everyone once again dance the waltz 3 time in the morning, and in the evening again, but this time I sat out just to watch it,

and I must say that it look fantastic, it flows, its graceful, it’s beautiful, even the man himself (Dave Sheriff)

thank Nigel & Linda for a wonderful dance, if you are looking for a lovely waltz, then this is the one,

we will be taking this back to our instructors and asking them to teach it to our class.

Hi,
I'm going to review a couple of couples dances for you, and you can go from there.......

Sweet Tea by Dan Albro & Kelly Albro...54 count dance to the song Good Directions by Billy Currington. It's
a fun dance and gets your spirits goings all of the way through

Forever Amen ....... I dont know the choreographers for this dance but it's an old good country song by
Randy Travis that is infectious and gets people to get to the dance ...old country is the
                              best it seems.

Straight from the Heart .....again i don't know the choreographers but the song is again old country .the song
by John Conlee known as Rose Coloured Glasses....great dance to get the
crowd out there , at least around here.

Lost Moments 4-2 ......choreographers are us (Bourassa & Frechette) ,gets people out there because of
the song by George Strait Wrapped. Kind of and easy 32 count dance.
